What is Electrocautery Device?
Electrocautery is a critical device used to perform surgical procedures such as shear coagulation (coagulation) by passing electrical current through the body of the patient under the control of a doctor at high frequency and high energy. Electrocautery device is a device that performs the following surgical procedures in a biological tissue as a result of the thermal effect (increase of intracellular temperature) created by applying alternating current at rf band frequency (usually 350khz).

Working Principle:
The electrocautery device has output powers. Different powers (volts) are applied in different operations. The heat in the tissue increases in direct proportion to the current, resistance, and time according to the joule law, Q = A (2) x R x T (Q: heat, A: current, R: resistance, T: time). It decreases inversely proportional with the increase of the applied surface width. As the temperature increases, the desired effect or undesirable effects occur in the tissue. As the degree of current (volts) and application time increases, there will be heat increase in the tissue. Coagulation effect or tissue necrosis will increase. Using a thin diameter polypectomy snear will result in faster cutting and less heat to the tissue. A. CUTING (CUTING 1. Cut (Evaporation)

COAGULATION Tissue Dessicitation, Minimum tissue surface damage

Etching (Coagulation, hemostasis)

Fulgaration (Large surface coagulation)

Devitalization (Lesion, Tumor destruction, correction of tissue anomalies and ablation by using argon plasma assisted high powers)

The device performs these applications using a variety of conventional and advanced hybrid (modulated) current modes.
